Upper Back Pain
Upper Back pain
This area is a relatively insensitive area, and as such it can gradually accumulate a variety of muscle and joint problems that seem to come and go randomly. It is affected dramatically by postural strain, caused by activities in which you are looking down for prolonged periods, or craning your neck forward like when you use a computer for long periods of time. Stress is also a major contributor to problems in this area. When left unchecked, mechanical problems in the upper back cause a chain reaction in which the neck becomes sore, which in turn leads to headaches in the forehead and behind the eyes. It can also lead to numbness and tingling in the arms and hands. This is one of our favorite areas to treat at Axis Health, as recovery is usually relatively easy, and results in a dramatic change. Problems like this tend to suck the life out of you, and we love helping to restore life.
