Owen Martin, DC
Dr. Martin was born on Vancouver Island, Canada. He graduated from the prestigious University of Victoria with an undergraduate degree in exercise science, and went on to complete doctorate studies in chiropractic at Western States University in Portland, Oregon. He has been in practice since 1992, the first two years in Portland and the last 20 years in Grants Pass.
Having been a competitive athlete in a variety of sports as well as having pursued a degree in exercise science, Dr. Martin brings a unique perspective to the treatment of injuries. As the clinic director at Axis Health he has assembled a team of experts that strive to get to the root cause of problems that lead to the need for chiropractic
care. This often involves the use of exercise and nutrition to make a more long lasting correction of physical problems. His goal is always to prevent the need for repetitive treatment if possible.
Dr. Martin's warm personality and sincere concern for his patients make him invaluable in a health care world that usually leans towards scientists rather than true care providers.
Dr. Martin is married and has three children that are all young adults. He is a fan of physical activities and enjoys playing ice hockey, mountain biking and hiking. He is an avid musician, playing a variety of instruments, with keyboard as his primary.
